Form and Function

Located in the heart of the Canadian Prairies the strong lines of the new roof profile define the new crisp aesthetic of this 1300 sq. ft. single family mid-century modern home and serves as a nod toward the modern architectural ideology ‘form follows function’.

The addition / renovation will capture the sun and control the wind and snow. The shed roof directs the snow to the south and opens up to a north facing clerestory window and a protected upper level sun deck. The open kitchen and family room are combined in to a single light filled space for daily living.
