Reverence for a native wooded site of undulating verdant topography required a light touch on the landscape to construct three buildings; a workshop, guest house and primary residence. Site design references British pastoral landscape planning where distant structures are seen in perspective while views unfold in cinographic experience. Each building has its own orthogonal precinct of solid (house) and void (clearing) while the main house is perched on a high bluff to capture panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
