Tyler Engle, AIA
Principal
Tyler Engle, AIA, is the principal of Tyler Engle Architects PS, established in 2000. A native of Seattle, Tyler received a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University with honors and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University. Over 25 years of architectural experience includes work in Seattle, San Diego, New York, and Madrid. Projects include the Alhambra Visitors Center in Spain, JFK Japan Airlines Terminal, Kings County Hospital in New York and numerous residences in the Pacific Northwest. Tyler is a past trustee of The Intiman Theatre and is currently Vice President of On the Boards, an experimental performance theater that he designed with George Suyama.
Balancing a passion for art and culture with the pragmatics of construction, Tyler has chaired AIA committees for design recognition, code reform and process improvement, and has worked to integrate the education of the design disciplines. Tyler’s work has been recognized by international publications and awards for design excellence.
